Streamlining Income Streams for a
Charity with Trusted Donor Data
Client Overview
Our client is one of the UK’s most reputable nonprofit organizations, leading major reforms aligned with its core mission. The charity manages multiple fundraising streams, including one-time donations, recurring direct debits, event sponsorships, legacy contributions, and revenue generated through goods and services sold online. With funds arriving from numerous channels, donor data management became increasingly complex and difficult to govern effectively.Business Objective
The organization sought to reduce manual effort in fund management and eliminate data inconsistencies across systems. Their primary objective was to fully automate donor data intake from multiple channels and create a single, trusted source of truth within Microsoft Dynamics 365. Ensuring accurate management of donor personally identifiable information while maintaining compliance and performance was also a key priority.Industry

Donor Data Management
Challenges
Fragmented and Duplicate Donor Data
Donor information was manually consolidated from disparate sources and uploaded into Microsoft Dynamics 365, resulting in unreliable and duplicate records.
CRM Performance Degradation
Large volumes of inconsistent data from multiple channels negatively impacted CRM performance and reporting accuracy.
Manual and Non-Scalable Processes
The existing ecosystem relied heavily on manual data entry and reconciliation, making it inefficient and unsuitable for automation or scale.

Data Discovery and Process Assessment
NeosAlpha conducted a detailed discovery workshop to assess existing data flows, system architecture, and pain points contributing to poor data quality and manual workload.
Structured Data Extraction Framework
Scheduled Boomi integration processes extracted donor data from multiple formats, including JSON, REST APIs, XML, email inputs, and flat files. A staging database was introduced to separate extraction from processing while enabling reconciliation, auditing, and traceability.
Data Validation and Enrichment
Incoming records were validated and enriched before further processing. Malformed or incomplete files were rejected to prevent contamination of the master repository.
Master Data Hub Implementation
Validated data was moved into Boomi Master Data Hub, where matching and data quality rules were configured at the model level. Duplicate detection and cleansing logic ensured that only accurate and consolidated golden records were created. Records requiring review were routed to quarantine for controlled manual resolution.
CRM Synchronization
Trusted golden records were pushed into Microsoft Dynamics 365 using Boomi’s native connector, ensuring that the CRM contained only clean, reliable donor data.
